Our Facilities - A Climate Controlled Environment
Our wholesale operations are centralized at our 61,000 square foot plant in Rancho Dominguez, California. From this central location near both the Los Angeles Harbor and Los Angeles International Airport, our fleet of computer temperature-controlled trucks is able to reach all of Southern California, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
This state-of-the-art facility is fully climate-controlled. We operate three shifts from this facility every day of the week except Sundays when it is closed. Our receiving and staging areas, as well as our production floor, our shellfish coolers and our holding coolers are refrigerated at 38°F or lower. Our 7,000 square foot freezer room is cooled to an icy -10°F at all times.
We also maintain a marine tank system that can hold up to 12,000 pounds of live crustaceans such as North Atlantic, South Australian and California Lobsters, Dungeness Crabs, and Santa Barbara Spot Prawns.
We recently opened a new Las Vegas office with docking and storage facilities at the southern tip of the Las Vegas strip, just off Valley View Boulevard (not far from McCarran Airport). It provides space for customer meetings and presentations, contains both cooler and freezer space and allows us to cross-dock and transfer product to our smaller trucks for more rapid delivery and in a temperature controlled environment.
